Palestine: DFLPs Detainees reject Israeli Provocative Measures

DFLP – The detainees of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine in the prisons of Ashqelon, Shata, Majiddo, Jarbo’a and other detention camps rejected the provocative and abusive measures of the Israeli prisons service.

The detainees condemned the attempts aiming at breaking their steadfastness and blocking the way of successes realized after the victory of Khader Adnan and Hanaa Al-Shalbi. Their goal was to unify the efforts of the detainees’ movement in rejecting the solitary confinement, the administrative detention, appearing at the courts of the occupation, and foiling the attempts of not reaching a unified resistance program among all the political trends of the detainees at all prisons. They also called for countering all the attempts of aborting the Palestinian social rise which support and sustain the detainees’ movement.

The DFLP’s detainees called for extending the campaign of solidarity with the detainee Hanaa Al-Shalbi who has been on hunger strike for four weeks, confirming the importance of the continuation of the popular, civil and social solidarity by all the Palestinian national institutions and agencies, including all the Palestinian social groups.

The detainees welcomed and highly appreciated the General Union of the Palestinian Women and all the womanly activities which changed the World’s Woman Day into a national day in solidarity with the Palestinian female detainee Hanaa al-Shalbi.

On his part, the detainee Wajdi Jouda considered this solidarity an important input for supporting the detainees in their jails and strengthening their will in facing the measures of solitary confinement and nude inspection and a way for deepening the unity of the Detainees’ movement.

The DFLP’s detainees offered a number of proposals to be circulated with the Supreme Agency of Defending Detainees and Captives with the Ministry of Detainees Affairs and the detainee’s Club and all the judicials working for defending the detainees. These proposals aim at overcoming the obstacles for reaching the desired unified resistance program and preparing the resistance activities for the future.
